This feature is used to classify the DMS artifacts.
You need to access the DMS from the left pane.

The DMS page is rendered on a new page, as shown in this example below. Navigate to a DMS folder to view its contents.

Use the “Search” text box to filter the folder list.

Click the ellipsis to view the context menu for this folder. You can navigate to “Rename, Remove, Check SubFolder, Upload Document, Get URL, View History, Folder Permissions, Default Document Permissions, Archive, and Details” features.

Navigate to the DMS Folder. Select a document and click the ellipsis button to navigate to the “Copy, Rename, Remove, Check Out, Get URL, Download, Permissions, View History, View Revisions, Archive, Classifications and Details” features.

Create Classification (and its metadata).
On the DMS page, select the View > Classifications to manage classifications.

The DMS Classifications page is rendered, showing a list of classifications and their metadata, as shown in the example below.

Select the DMS root classification and right-click to “Add Classifications.”

Type the new classification name, then click the “Create” button.

The new classification is created, and a confirmation message is shown in the top-right corner.

To add metadata, there are two approaches. Right-click the “DMS Classification” folder and select “Add Metadata” from the context menu.

You can select the “DMS Classification” folder and click the “Actions - Create” menu option.

A pop-up window is displayed for configuration. Provide the metadata name and the description. Select the data type from the drop-down list (string, number, date, or boolean). Click the Create button.

The metadata is created, and a confirmation message is displayed in the top-right corner.

Actions - Edit.
On the DMS Classifications page, select the classification to view the metadata list. Select the list item and click the “Actions - Edit” menu option.

A pop-up window shows the metadata values. You can modify the details and click the “Update” button to confirm the changes.

The metadata changes have been confirmed, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner.

Actions - Remove.
On the DMS Classifications page, select the classification to view the metadata list. Select the list item and click the “Actions - Remove” menu option.

Click the OK button.

The metadata is removed, and a confirmation message is displayed in the top-right corner.

Document Classification.
On the DMS page, select the folder to view the documents. Select the document, click the ellipsis button, and choose the “Classifications” menu option.

A pop-up window appears for configuration. Select the appropriate value from the drop-down list, then click the Save button.

Enter the appropriate value in the metadata as shown in the example below. Click the Save button.

The DMS document is tagged with a classification, and a confirmation message is shown in the top-right corner.

Select the document, click the ellipsis button, and select the “Details” menu option.

The document details, including the metadata count, are displayed in the pop-up window.
