AI Token Usage Dashboard

Last published at: October 19th, 2026

The AI Token Usage Dashboard provides a consolidated view of FlowWright's AI usage. It helps administrators and product owners understand AI request volumes, execution success, token consumption, usage patterns across workflow components, and consumption by AI providers.

The dashboard helps monitor AI adoption, troubleshoot failed requests, analyze token consumption, and plan AI usage and costs.

Navigate to Manage - Dashboards.

The Manage Dashboard page is rendered showing a list of existing dashboards.

Search for the “AI Token Usage” dashboard.

Select this dashboard and click on the Utils - Preview menu.

The AI Token Usage dashboard is rendered as shown in the image below. Use the “Date Filter” to narrow down this report.

The dashboard helps you monitor AI adoption, troubleshoot failed requests, analyze token consumption, and plan AI usage and costs.

1. Dashboard filters

2. Key performance indicators (KPIs)

The six summary cards at the top provide a quick assessment of AI usage for the selected period.

What do these numbers tell us?

31 AI requests: The system recorded 31 requests during the selected period.

84% success rate: Approximately 26 requests succeeded and 5 failed, consistent with the status chart.

85,753 total tokens: This is the combined volume of input and output tokens.

Output-heavy usage: Output tokens account for approximately 89.8% of all tokens, while input tokens account for approximately 10.2%. This suggests AI-generated responses consume far more tokens than the prompts and context provided.

Average consumption: 85,753 divided by 31 is approximately 2,766 tokens per request.

These values describe usage volume, not necessarily monetary cost. Actual cost depends on the model or provider, applicable input/output rates, and any provider-specific billing rules.

3. Understanding the dashboard charts

The charts below the KPI cards provide more detailed insight into how AI is being used, where requests originate, and how token consumption changes over time.

4. What business questions does this dashboard answer?

5. Overall assessment

The AI Usage Summary Dashboard provides a strong starting point for monitoring FlowWright's AI usage. It combines operational metrics, provider distribution, workflow artifact usage, and token analytics in a single view.

Based on the displayed data, the three most important observations are:

  • Reliability: Five of 31 requests failed, so failure diagnosis is an important operational requirement.
  • Consumption: Output tokens account for nearly 90% of token usage, making generated-response length a potential optimization area.
  • Usage concentration: ProcessDefinition is the dominant request category, and OpenAI is the dominant provider by request count.

The most valuable next step is to connect these summary charts to request-level details and cost metrics. That would turn the dashboard from a reporting tool into a practical AI governance and optimization dashboard for FlowWright administrators and product owners.
