DMS Providers

Use this feature to manage DMS Providers

As a FlowWright Admin User, navigate to the Administration > DMS Sources page. 

 

The DMS Sources page appears as shown in this example below. Here, you create a configuration that links a file system provider to a file root path, defining the document storage source.  

 

Click the “DMS Source” menu to navigate to the “DMS Providers” page. 

 

The DMS Providers page appears as shown in this example below. In this version, FlowWright providers AzureBlobProvider, AzureFileShareProvider, and DMSFileSystemProviders. 

 

Select the Actions menu to access the “Create, Edit, Copy, and Remove” options. 

 

Select the View menu to access the “With Errors and Parameters” pages. 

 

Select the provider from the table and click the Export menu to access “XML and SQL” features.

 

Select the Import - XML menu to add a new DMS provider. 

 

Select the Utils menu to access “Auto Detect, Auto Detect From DLL, and Auto Detect From Directory” features. Use this feature to add custom DMS Provider DLLs to FlowWright.  

 


Select the Support menu, then choose Request Item to find information on creating a DMS provider. 

 

Actions - Create.

Select Actions > Create to add a new DMS Provider. 

 

A pop-up window appears for configuration. You must enter the name, namespace, and DLL path as shown in the image below. Click the “Validate” button to verify the configuration. A confirmation message is displayed in the top-right corner. Click the “Create” button to add a new DMS Provider to the table.  

 

 

Actions - Edit.

Select a provider from the table, then click Actions > Edit to modify its configuration.  

 

A pop-up window displays the current configuration. You can modify the values and then click the “Validate” button to confirm. A confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. Click the “Update” button to save your changes.

 

 The DMS Provider DLL configuration has been updated, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner.  

 

 

Actions - Copy.

Select a provider from the table, then click Actions > Copy to duplicate the DLL Provider configuration.

 

A pop-up window appears for configuration. You need to enter a new name and click the “Copy” button. 

 

A copy of the DMS Provider DLL is created, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. 

 

 

Actions - Remove.

Select a provider from the table, then click Actions > Remove to delete the DLL Provider configuration permanently.

 

A confirmation pop-up window appears. Click the OK button. 

 

The DMS Provider DLL is removed, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. 

 

 

View - Remove.

Select a provider from the table, then click View > With Errors to see the DLL configuration errors. 

 

Any DLL configuration errors will be shown on the same page, as illustrated below. Use the browser's back button to return to the previous page. 

  

 

View - Parameters.

Select a provider from the table, then click View > Parameters to view the DLL parameters. 

 

The DMS Provider DLL parameters are shown in the pop-up window below. Click the Close button to proceed. 

 

 

Export - XML.

This feature allows DMS Providers to be exported or imported between FlowWright environments as an XML file. Another feature, “Synchronization,” also provides a similar function. Select a provider from the table, then click Export > XML. The XML file is downloaded to your local folder. 

 

The XML file extract is provided below for reference. 

 

 

Export - SQL.

This feature allows DMS Providers to be exported from one FlowWright Database to another as an SQL file.

Select a provider from the table, then click Export > SQL. The SQL file is downloaded to your local folder.

Import - XML.

This feature allows DMS Providers to be exported or imported between FlowWright environments as an XML file. Another feature, “Synchronization,” also provides a similar function. Select a provider from the table, then click Import > XML. 

 

A pop-up window is displayed for configuration. Select the XML file from the local folder and click the “Import” button.   

 

The XML file is imported and replaces the DLL by the same name. A confirmation message appears in the top-right corner.

 

 

Utils - Auto Detect.

Navigate to the Utils—Auto Detect menu option to identify new or modified DLLs that require manual configuration in your FlowWright environment. 

 

The auto-detect feature opens on a new page. The table displays the steps, their names, namespaces, and DLL paths. In this example, no DLLs are detected. 

 

 

Utils - Auto Detect From DLL.

Navigate to the Utils—Auto Detect From DLL menu option to identify new or modified DLLs that require manual configuration in your FlowWright environment. 

 

Select the custom step DLL from the drop-down list. 

 

Click the Select button to confirm the action. The DLL will be configured manually, and a confirmation message will appear in the top-right corner. 

 

 

Utils - Auto Detect From Directory.

Navigate to the Utils—Auto Detect From DLL menu option to identify new or modified DLLs that require manual configuration in your FlowWright environment. 

 

Select the directory from the drop-down list. 

 

Click the Select button to confirm the action. The DLL will be configured manually, and a confirmation message will appear in the top-right corner.  

 

 

Support - Request Item.

Navigate to Support > Request Item to report any enhancements or issues to the FlowWright support team. 

 

You need to register on the FlowWright Atlassian site using your email address. This is FlowWright's support portal for collaboration and tracking. 

 

You must sign up to continue. 

 

The FlowWright Customer Support Portal page is displayed below. Click the “Suggest a new feature/improvement.” link. 

 

On this page, provide a summary and description of the changes you'd like FlowWright to make. You can attach images for additional context. Click the “Send” button to submit your suggestion. The details will be emailed to the product team automatically.
