This feature displays the process definition workflow on a new page, helping users become familiar with the overall workflow's objectives.
On the Process Definition page, select the process in the table, then click “View > Render”.

The workflow is displayed on the same page, as shown below. Use the “Search” box to focus on a specific workflow area by entering the step name. Information about the user who created and updated the workflow is shown in a table. The count of process instances is also shown. Use the “image pan” button to quickly navigate a large workflow. Toggle the “Show or Hide Preview” button as needed.

Click the step icon to view the step properties, as shown in the image.

Click the “View” menu to access the “Execution Info, Variables, Globals, Business Objects, Form Variables, Properties, Step Returns, Task Reminders, Statistics, and Previous-Next” features.

Render the critical path of the Process Definition.
On the Render Definition page, select the View > Critical Path menu option.

The critical path workflow is shown in dotted lines, as illustrated below. The critical path is the longest route determined by the process's design.

Select the “Display Dates” field to view the datetime values for each process step along the critical path.

Definition Relations.
This function displays all the definition relations configured in the workflow.
On the Render Definition page, select “View > Definition Relations”.

The relationships among the configured elements in the process definition are shown below. Click to expand or collapse each branch to view the related components.

View History.
On the Render Definition page, select the “Utils > History”.

The history information (a list of changes) is displayed on the same page, as shown below. Use the “Search” feature to narrow the results.

View Inline Comments.
On the Render Definition page, click the “Utils > Inline Comments”.

The table below lists inline comments. Use the “Search” feature to narrow the results.

View Definition Comments.
On the Render Definition page, select the “Utils > Comments”.

The table below lists the comments. Use the “Search” feature to narrow the result list.

Validation Tree.
When a parent workflow calls a child workflow or multiple child workflows, the validation tree shows the validation status of the process-definition hierarchy.
On the Render Definition page, click the “Utils > Validation Tree”.

The validation tree is shown below. When the process definition fails validation, the errors appear on the right side of the definition.

View Heat Map.
This function generates a heat map for the process definition. The heat map graphically displays the process's behavior, its most-used parts, and the locations where errors occur.
On the Process definition page, select the process in the table, then choose “View > Heat Map”.

A configuration pop-up window is displayed. Enter the process instance sample size in the text box, then click the “Generate” button.

The algorithm retrieves all process instances for this definition to generate the heat map. The heat map appears on the same page, as shown below. Note: Use the heat map legend to interpret task completion times as percentages.
