SQL Dashboard Calendar

Use this feature to create and manage a SQL Dashboard Calendar

This feature renders a Dashboard Calendar of events from the [deDummyCalendarEvents] SQL table. 

Navigate to Manage > Dashboards from the left pane. 

 

On the Manage Dashboard page, select Actions > Create. 

 

A pop-up appears for configuration. Enter the “Dashboard Name” and the “Order Number” to set the hierarchy position in the table. Check the box for "Open Designer." Click the “Create” button to start. 

 

On the “Dashboard Designer” canvas, drag and drop the “SQL Calendar Widget”. 

 

Click the “Edit” icon to set up this widget. 

 

A pop-up appears for configuration. Enter the “Title”. Select the database connection from the drop-down list. Enter the SQL SELECT query to fetch events from the table. Click the “Test Query” button. Enter the date-type column reference to filter dates. Select the default view from the drop-down list (Month, Week, Day). Enter the references for the “Event Title, Description, Start Date, End Date, Notes, URL, Event Type” columns. Configure the “Event Type” colors using the UI. Click the plus sign (+) to add multiple event-type colors. Select the checkbox to render the event in UTC time. Configure the “Heading” background and text colors. Configure the “Body” background and text colors. Select the checkbox to show “Header” information. Click the Save button to confirm. The widget configuration example is provided below for reference. 

 

Navigate to UI > Preview to view the Calendar. 

 

The Dashboard Calendar appears as shown in the image below. Hover over an event to see more details.
