Learn about the different features available for resource globalization.

Use this feature to manage the globalization resources

Navigate to the Administration - Globalization page. 

 

The “Manage Globalization” page is displayed as shown in the image below. The resources are organized into “Local” and “Global” tabs. The primary language is US English (en-US). Select the “Local” tab. The list of local resources appears in the left pane. Select any local resource from the list. The related items for this resource are displayed in a table in the right pane. Use the Search text box to filter the list. 

 

Actions - Create.

Admin Users can create new resource items for a globalization resource. 

Select a resource item from the list and click the Actions - Create menu option. 

 

A pop-up window is displayed for configuration. Provide the resource name and value and click the Create button. 

 

The new item is added to the globalization resource, and a confirmation message is displayed in the top-right corner.  

 

Actions - Edit.

Admin Users can modify the resource name and value properties of a resource. 

Select a resource item from the list, then select the resource name from the items. Click the Actions - Edit menu option. 

 

The resource values are shown in a pop-up window. Change the resource name and value fields, then click the Update button. 

 

The changes are saved, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. 

 

Actions - Copy Culture.

Admin users can copy the resource items to another culture. 

Select a resource group from the list and click the Actions - Copy menu option. 

 

A pop-up window is displayed for configuration. Select the target culture from the drop-down list here.  

 

The resource group is copied to the target culture (without globalization), and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. 

 

Select the target culture from the drop-down list and navigate to the resource group. View the resource group and its items available for use.  

 

 

Actions - Remove.

Admin Users can remove the resource name, group, and culture. 

Select a resource group from the list and a name from the table. Click the Actions - Remove menu option. You may remove the resource item, group, or culture for a globalization resource. 

 

Click OK to confirm. Note: The resource group and culture items are permanently removed. 

 

The resource item is removed, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. 

 

Actions - Clear Globalization Cache.

Click the “Actions -> Clear Globalization Cache” menu item. This removes the existing globalization references from the cache. Use this feature when changes to globalization resources (e.g., resource items, resource groups, steps or step categories, form widgets or widget categories, dashboard widgets or widget categories) are not reflected. 

 

Click OK to Confirm. 

 

The globalization cache is cleared, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. 

 

Export - Resource Group / Culture.

Use this feature to export the resource group as an XML or SQL file. 

Select the resource group from the list, then click the Export - Resource Group - XML or SQL menu option. The resource file is exported and downloaded to the local folder.

Use this feature to export the Culture as an XML or SQL file. 

Select the resource group from the list, then click the Export - Culture - XML or SQL menu option. The file is exported and downloaded to the local folder.

Import - Resource Group.

Use this feature to import the resource group as an XML file. 

Select the resource group from the list, then click the Import - Resource Group menu option.

 

Select the resource group XML file from the local folder, then click Import. 

 

The file is imported and configured in the Globalization list. A confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. 

 

Globalize Menu. 

Globalize - Steps

Select Primary culture from the drop-down list. Click Globalize > Steps to globalize Steps and Categories. The FlowWright application uses the default translator (either Azure or Google) to globalize steps and categories and runs the process as a background task. Upon completion, a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner.  

 

Globalize - Forms.

Select Primary culture from the drop-down list. Click Globalize > Forms to globalize the Form widgets and Categories. The FlowWright application uses the default translator (either Azure or Google) to globalize the widgets and categories and runs the process as a background task. Upon completion, a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner.  

 

Globalize - Dashboard.

Select Primary culture from the drop-down list. Click Globalize > Dashboard to globalize the Dashboard Widgets and Categories. The FlowWright application uses the default translator (either Azure or Google) to globalize the widgets and categories and runs the process as a background task. Upon completion, a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner.  

 

Translate - Google / Azure Translate.

Use this feature to globalize an individual resource, a specific resource group, or all resources (culture).    

To configure Google Cloud settings, go to Status > Status > Settings > Configuration. Select Google Cloud from the drop-down list to open the interface below. Copy and paste the translation API key into the field. Click here to set up the translation API key.  

 

On the Manage Globalization page, select the Local or Global category. Search and select the primary resource item from the scroll list. Next, select the secondary culture from the drop-down list.  

 

The secondary culture is now selected and ready for translation. 

 

Select the resource value from the table, then click the Google or Azure Translate - Resource menu option to translate only this item. Choose the “Culture” option to translate all local (or global) resources to the secondary culture. This service runs as a background process. Choose the “Resource Group” option to translate only the specified resource group (/Administrator/AIProvider in this example) to the secondary culture. 

 

Using the Google or Azure ML services (pre-configured), the resource is translated, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. 

 

With the Translate - Culture feature, all local (or global) resources are translated to the secondary culture. This service runs as a background process. 

 

With the Translate - Resource Group feature, only the specified resource group (/Administrator/AIProvider in this example) is translated into the secondary culture. 

 

Translate - Set Default Provider.

Use this feature to set a default translation provider. 

Select Translator > Set Default Provider to configure the default translator for global resources and culture. 

 

Select Azure or Google from the drop-down list, then click Save. A confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. From now on, the FlowWright application will use the selected translator as the default. 

 

The default translation choice is set, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner.
