This function resends the email notification for a process instance task that is in a sleeping status.
Tasks in the render instance.
This function displays the task information carried out within the process instance.
On the Process Instance page, select the process from the table, then click View > Render. The process instance opens on a new page. Then, choose Items > Tasks.

The tasks are listed in the table below. Select a task from the list, then click the "Resend Email Notification" button to resend the notification email.

Click the Clock icon to view the task history. The information appears in the pop-up window below.

You can use the Search feature to find the task. To view tasks, click the Instance tree to expand or collapse it. Click the status link to see sleeping or closed tasks. This search-and-view-selective task is an Admin feature.

Resend Email in the step properties
Select the process instance, then navigate to the View > Render menu option to open it in a new tab. Next, choose the Items > Tasks menu option to view the Tasks associated with this process instance (if any) in a table, as shown below.

Click the ALL button to resend email notifications to users for the tasks.

The email is sent in the background to all open tasks (as shown in the selection above). A notification message is displayed in the top-right corner.
