Actions on Form Widgets

Use this feature to manage form widgets

Edit a Form Widget.

This function lets you modify the Form widget configuration. 

Navigate to the Administration > Form Widgets. Select the widget from the list, then click Actions > Edit. 

 

The Form widget configuration can be modified on the new page. 

 

You may modify the configuration values across the page. Click the Update button to confirm the changes. A confirmation message is displayed in the top-right corner. 

 

Copy a Form Widget.

This function lets you create a copy of the Form widget. 

Go to Administration > Form Widgets page. Choose the widget from the list and click Actions > Copy option. 

 

Provide the new name and click the Copy button. 

 

The Form widget is duplicated with a new name, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. The Form widget should be edited and reconfigured to address any validation status errors. 

 

Remove a Form Widget.

This function lets you remove the Form widget from the repository. 

Navigate to Administration > Form Widgets. Select the widget from the list and click Actions > Remove. 

 

Click OK to continue. 

 

The Form widget has been removed from the repository, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. 

 

Export a Form widget.

This function lets you export the Form widget configuration as an XML or SQL file. 

Navigate to Administration > Form Widgets. Choose the widget from the list and click the Export - XML option. 

 

The XML file is created and downloaded to the local folder. You may use the Import function to install this widget in another FlowWright environment.

This function lets you export the Form widget configuration as an SQL file.

 

The SQL file has been created and downloaded to the local folder. To install this widget in another FlowWright environment, you can execute the SQL query using SQL Management Studio.

Import a Form widget.

This function lets you import the Form widget configuration as an XML file. 

Navigate to Administration > Form Widgets page. Select the widget from the list and click Import > XML. 

 

Select the XML file from the local system folder, then click the Import button to initiate the import. 

 

The step XML configuration updates after a successful import, and a confirmation message appears in the top-right corner. Note: The import will overwrite any widget with the same name. 

 

Form Widgets with the errors.

This function lets you view the form widget with configuration errors. 

Go to Administration > Form Widgets. Choose View > With Errors to see the list. 

 

The table below displays all Form widgets that have configuration errors. Each widget needs to be edited and reconfigured manually. 

 

Form Widgets Usage.

This function shows how the Form widgets are used by the form definitions. 

Go to Administration > Form Widgets and select View > Usage.  

 

The bar chart below shows the usage of Form widgets. Hover over the bar to see the data point. Note: The FlowWright Statistical service counts the widget across all Form definitions for this report. 

 

View forms using a Widget.

This function shows a list of form definitions using Form widgets. 

Go to Administration > Form Widgets page. Choose the widget from the list and click on the View > Forms > Used By menu option. 

 

A pop-up alert indicates that the list is being prepared. Click the Close button to proceed. 

 

Click the notification alert to check the completion status. 

 

Navigate to the Engage > Notifications page and click on the navigation icon in the table.  

 

The pop-up window displays a list of Forms using the Form widget as a table. When you are done, click the Close button.

View Forms not using a Widget.

This function displays a list of form definitions that do not utilise a Form widget. 

Go to the Administration > Form Widgets page. Choose the widget from the list and click on the View > Forms > Not Used By menu option. 

 

A pop-up alert confirms that list preparation is underway. Click the Close button to proceed. 

 

Click the notification alert to see the completion status. 

 

Navigate to the Engage > Notifications page, then click the navigation icon in the table.  

 

The pop-up window shows the list of Forms that don't use the Form widget. When you're finished, click the Close button.
